FitMesh Sync

Two phones, one health

Android and iPhone together: same dashboard, same data

One FitMesh account works on both phones. Your Colmi smart ring data reaches iPhone over Bluetooth — and gets written into Apple Health so you see it across the Apple ecosystem too. EU cloud, GDPR, no duplicates.

Many people use two phones: one Android for work and an iPhone personally, or the other way around. Or you've switched operating systems and want to carry your health data history. Or you want your Colmi smart ring data — connected via Bluetooth to Android — to show up on iPhone too, inside Apple Health, without manual exports.

FitMesh Sync solves all of this with one structure: one cloud account, two apps (Android already available, iOS in beta), one bridge to Apple Health. The data is yours, stored in the EU, accessible from any browser.

How multi-device works

  • One account, two apps — the same FitMesh account works on Android and iPhone. No separate profiles or manual syncing: the web dashboard always shows the most recent data, from any device.
  • Android: native read from Health Connect — on Android, FitMesh reads data from Health Connect: Galaxy Watch, Garmin, Pixel Watch, Fitbit, and any app writing to Health Connect. Data updates automatically in the background.
  • iOS: native read from Apple Health (HealthKit) — on iPhone, FitMesh accesses Apple Health with permissions you choose. Reads what Apple Health already collects: iPhone steps, Apple Watch data, and any authorized app.
  • Colmi ring on both platforms — the Colmi smart ring connects via Bluetooth to the FitMesh app, on both Android and iPhone. Data (sleep with phases, steps, heart rate) is synced to your cloud account and, on iOS, written into Apple Health.
  • EU cloud, GDPR — all data is stored on EU servers (Frankfurt). Encryption in transit and at rest, Row Level Security, full on-demand account deletion.

The Apple Health bridge (iOS opt-in)

The most requested point: "does my Android ring data show up in Apple Health?". Yes — via the FitMesh bridge. When you use FitMesh on iPhone with a Colmi ring, the app writes data into Apple Health: sleep with phases (light, deep, REM), steps, heart rate. So you see them in Apple's Health app, in Fitness, and in any other app authorized to Apple Health.

What FitMesh doesn't do (honesty first)

  • Does not write to Health Connect — writing to Health Connect (Android) is on the roadmap, but not yet available. FitMesh today reads from Health Connect, it doesn't write to it.
  • iOS sync is not real-time — on iPhone, background sync is periodic (roughly every 15-30 minutes), as enforced by the iOS operating system. Don't expect second-by-second updates.
  • iOS app is not yet on the App Store — FitMesh iOS is in active beta on TestFlight. You can join the beta waitlist at /beta — you'll get access as soon as it's available.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use FitMesh on two phones at the same time?+

Yes. The same FitMesh account works on Android and iPhone in parallel. Data from both devices flows into the same cloud dashboard — you don't need to do anything special, just log in with the same account on both.

Does my Android smartwatch data show up in Apple Health?+

For the Colmi smart ring: yes. FitMesh iOS (beta) writes Colmi ring data into Apple Health — sleep with phases, steps, heart rate. For Android smartwatches that go through Health Connect (Galaxy Watch, Garmin, etc.): the direct Health Connect → Apple Health bridge is not available today, but is on the roadmap.

If I already have data on iPhone, will it be duplicated with Android data?+

No. FitMesh checks first whether Apple Health already has that data. If it's already there (from Apple Watch or any other app), FitMesh won't rewrite it. Data from iPhone stays separate from data written by FitMesh.

Is FitMesh iOS available on the App Store?+

Not yet. FitMesh iOS is in active beta on TestFlight. Join the beta waitlist at fitmesh.fit/en/beta — you'll receive an email with the TestFlight link as soon as spots are available. App Store release is planned after the beta is complete.

Is my health data safe when using two phones?+

Yes. All data is stored on a single EU server (Frankfurt), encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Each account is isolated with Row Level Security — no other user can see your data. You can delete everything at any time from the 'Delete account and data' section in the app.

Does the Colmi ring work on both Android and iPhone?+

Yes. The Colmi ring connects via Bluetooth to the FitMesh app on both platforms. On Android it's already available in production. On iPhone it's in the active beta — join to get access. Data collected by the ring (sleep with phases, steps, BPM) is synced to your cloud account and, on iOS, written into Apple Health.
