FitMesh ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have regarding your data when you use the FitMesh mobile application.
2. Data We Collect
FitMesh collects the following health and fitness data solely for the purpose of syncing it between your fitness apps and Google Health Connect:
- Steps and activity data
- Heart rate measurements
- Workout sessions and exercise records
- Sleep data
- Calories burned
- Distance and speed metrics
This data is collected from the fitness apps and wearables you authorize FitMesh to access, and is written to Google Health Connect on your device.
3. How We Use Your Data
All health and fitness data collected by FitMesh is used exclusively for the core functionality of the app: syncing your fitness information to Google Health Connect.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not share your health data with advertisers.
- We do not use your data for profiling or marketing.
- We do not store your health data on our servers.
Data is processed locally on your device and transferred directly to Google Health Connect. FitMesh does not maintain any backend database of your personal health information.
4. Data Sharing
FitMesh does not share your personal data with any third parties, except as required by law or as necessary to operate the service (e.g., Google Health Connect APIs, which are subject to Google's own privacy policy).
5. Data Retention
Since FitMesh does not store your health data on our servers, there is no data retention policy applicable to health information. Any app preferences or settings you configure within the app are stored locally on your device only.
6. Permissions
FitMesh requests the following Android permissions to function:
- Health Connect: Read and write health and fitness data.
- Foreground Service: Run sync tasks reliably in the background without interruption.
- Network access: Communicate with connected fitness APIs.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time through your device's system settings or through the Health Connect app.
7. Children's Privacy
FitMesh is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since FitMesh stores no health data on our servers, deletion of app data can be accomplished by uninstalling the app or clearing app data through your device settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of FitMesh after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
