Frequently asked questions
Does Fitbit Sense 2 write HRV to Health Connect?+
Yes. Fitbit Sense 2 measures nightly HRV and writes it to the Heart Rate Variability data type in Health Connect. FitMesh reads overnight HRV automatically alongside sleep stages and SpO2.
Does the Fitbit Sense 2 EDA stress sensor data appear in Health Connect?+
Stress management and EDA (electrodermal activity) data remain inside the Fitbit/Google Health ecosystem and are not written to Health Connect as a standard data type. Steps, heart rate, sleep, and SpO2 do write to Health Connect normally.
Is Fitbit Sense 2 still a good choice for Health Connect in 2026?+
Yes. Despite being a 2022 device, Sense 2 continues to receive Health Connect updates and writes a comprehensive set of data types. However, the newer Fitbit Charge 6 offers Google app integration if that matters to you. Both work equally well with FitMesh.
